This occurs when people are let go from their positions or actively apply for roles, as well as when they passively receive invitations to apply for jobs or interviews from recruiters and other sources.

In these situations, they may not put much thought into the specific type of company, role, or salary that would best suit them.

Instead, they simply hope to find something better than their current or previous position.

However, adopting a more focused strategy, akin to the sniper approach, is likely to yield better results in the long run.

A sniper has just one bullet with which to hit their target from long range and neutralize it effectively. Similarly, job seekers should carefully consider what kind of company and role they truly desire before embarking on their search.
