Fearless Warriors
Every brother has two sides.
The fearless warrior and the reserved guy.
Corporate America has a powerful way to take the fearless warrior out of most men.
After years in the corporate system, if you aren’t aware, you can get a bit soft and unclear on their purpose.
Even though you’ve got the money, you may not be fully confident in your ability to fully maximize your leadership potential.
If this has happened to you, don’t worry; you are part of the majority of brothers, not the minority.
People often think that the fearless warrior is too rude, too brazen, too sure of himself, and too bold.
He is often looked at as a liability rather than an asset.
For this reason, over 77% of men bury their fearless warrior in order to “get along” at work.
While there are short-term benefits to passivity, there are long-term negative consequences to living with regret, depression, anxiety, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, self-doubt, and social isolation.
However, to unlock your full career potential, it is your job to unlock the fearless warrior and set him free without burning down the village.
That is the challenge, my friend.
Therefore, I’ve provided you with a roadmap of how to access your fearless warrior right now, while being seen as a hero at work without making enemies or getting written up.
Qualities of a fearless warrior
Have an opinion. However, instill fearlessness in your colleagues too, so they trust your leadership when their insecurities arise.
Take a stand. While it’s perfectly fine for others to have an opinion or a belief, the fearless warrior takes a stand, has healthy boundaries, and does not let people bully him around.
Don’t take "no" for an answer. When something seems impossible, attend professional development conferences, network strategically, and research industry journals to find answers. This is how some of the best products and medical discoveries were found.
Do the unthinkable. Have a vision so huge, so grand, and so bold that you have to pinch yourself sometimes to make sure you’re still in reality.
Die every day. Psychologically, being a fearless warrior means you are willing to continually evolve and let old parts of yourself go in order to be reborn as the new to achieve your ultimate career success.
Turn risk into adventure. Find the professional adventures that excite you and make you come alive, with a team of people who feel just like you do about the mission, so you are on fire every day.
While society, your friends, your family, and even yourself may tell you to play it cool in life, the fearless warrior inside of you is the medicine you need to experience life to the max.
Break the cycle and lead.
Be a fearless warrior.
